Managing your clients

Find people in your list, read their trip history, and see what changed on a record.

Updated

Clients in the sidebar is your list of everyone you've worked with. Adding one is covered in Adding a client — this is about living with the list afterwards.

Finding someone

The list shows ID, name, nationality, email, phone and a trips count.

Four tabs filter it: All clients, Confirmed, Completed and Unsuccessful — so you can separate people with a booking in progress from people whose enquiry went nowhere.

For a single person, the sidebar search (or ⌘K) is faster than filtering.

The client page

Opening a client shows everything recorded about them — email, phone, nationality, passport numbers, customer category, date of birth, preferences and Client Since.

Below that sits their Inquiries table: every enquiry with its destination, dates, budget and status, and links straight through to the itinerary. This is the useful part. Before you call someone back, this page tells you what they've asked for before and what came of it.

Create Inquiry starts a new one without leaving the page.

Change log

Change log on the client page opens the activity log: who changed what, and when. It records the record's creation with every initial value, then each subsequent edit.

It's there for the awkward conversations — a wrong email address, a passport number that changed — where "when did this become wrong, and who touched it" is the question.

Tips

  • Fill in Preferences as you learn things. Dietary requirements, a preferred airline, a room they loved — it's the difference between a repeat client feeling remembered and feeling processed.
  • The trips count is your best quick signal for who's worth a call when you've got capacity to fill.
