Adding a client

Every trip in Niti belongs to a client, so this is the first thing you create.

Updated

An inquiry always belongs to a client, so the client record comes first. It only takes a moment, and everything else — the itinerary, the pricing, the invoice — hangs off it.

Create the client

  1. Click Clients in the sidebar, then Create Client.
  2. Fill in Client Name and Country of Nationality. Both are required.
  3. Add an Email, a Phone, or both. You need at least one of the two — the form won't save without it.

Everything below that is optional: Customer category, Passport Number(s), and preferences you can open with Add preferences. You can always come back and fill them in later.

Save, or save and keep going

Two buttons matter here:

  • Save creates the client and stops there.
  • Save and create inquiry creates the client and drops you straight into the New Inquiry form with that client already attached.

If a client has just called you about a trip, use Save and create inquiry — it saves you a step.

Good to know

  • The Country of Nationality you pick here isn't just a label. Niti uses it to work out whether a trip is domestic or foreign, and it pre-fills the traveller details later in the itinerary builder.
  • Each client gets a reference like CLI0001. That's what you'll see in breadcrumbs and on inquiry pages.
  • You can add several email addresses and phone numbers with the + button next to each field.

This is Niti.
