The itinerary is the day-by-day plan for the trip. You build it in the itinerary builder, which opens when you choose Save and build itinerary on an inquiry, or Edit on an itinerary that already exists.
For the wider picture of how the builder fits with everything else, see how Niti works.
A brand-new itinerary opens empty, and at the top of it Niti asks: Start from a Tour Template? If you've saved this trip as a template before, you don't need to build it again — load the Tour Template and the stays, visits and day plan fill in on this trip's own dates.
The six steps
Every itinerary follows the same flow:
- Stays — the hotels, villas and resorts the client sleeps in.
- Visits — everything they do on a day: the places they'll see and the tours, dives, dinners and day trips you book for them.
- Transport — how they get around. Airport pickups, vans, boat transfers.
- Costing — supplier costs, markup and tax, rolled into the price the client pays.
- Preview — the branded itinerary as the client will see it.
Finding your way around
The left rail lists every section of the itinerary — the six above, plus Trip Overview, Day-by-Day Plan, Flights & Tickets, Payments, Notes & Attachments and Terms & Conditions.
Two things on that rail are worth watching:
- Amber dots mark sections that still need attention.
- Completion shows how far along the itinerary is, as a percentage.
At the bottom of the screen, Save keeps your work, Next → moves to the following section, and Preview opens the client-facing version.
Trip Overview
The first section holds the basics:
- Itinerary Title — leave it blank and Niti writes one for you from the destinations, trip type and duration.
- Itinerary Type — Individual, Group, or Partner Agency.
- Travel Dates — either Fixed dates or a Duration. Niti works out the nights either way.
- Traveller information — pre-filled from the client record, so the name, email, phone and nationality should already be there.
Tips
- Save as you go. The builder has a lot of sections and there's no autosave.
- You don't have to work in order. Click any section in the left rail to jump straight to it.
