Currency, markup and bank details

The pricing defaults every new itinerary inherits, and the payment details on every invoice.

Updated

Two sections of My Agency decide how money works by default: Pricing and Payments.

Pricing

  • Currency — your agency-wide default. Each agent can pick their own preferred currency in their profile, which overrides this for cost inputs and new itineraries.
  • Default Company Markup (%) — applied to supplier costs by default. Each agent can layer an additional commission on top; that percentage is set on their team member record, not on their own profile page.

Both are starting points, not locks. On any individual itinerary you can change the trip currency and the markup on the Costing section, and show the client a different currency again under Client display.

How the markups stack

There are two markup layers, and knowing which is which saves confusion when a total looks off:

  1. Company markup — set here, applies to everything.
  2. Agent commission — each team member's own default percentage, set on their team member record, layered on top of the company markup. It can be overridden per component.

Payments

The Payments section holds the default bank details that appear in the How to pay block of every invoice you send — bank name, account number, SWIFT and branch.

Per-invoice payment links (Stripe, Wise, PayPal and so on) are not set here. Those go on each invoice individually, because the URL is usually different every time.

Tips

  • Set the default markup before your team starts building. Changing it later doesn't retro-fit itineraries that already exist.
  • If you invoice in more than one currency, leave the agency default as the one you buy in. Converting for the client is a per-itinerary setting and it's cleaner that way.
