Team members and roles

Add colleagues, choose what they can reach, and set their default commission.

Updated

Team Members lists everyone in your agency with their name, email, role and join date.

Adding someone

Click Add Team Member and fill in:

  • Full Name and Email Address.
  • Role — Agent, Senior Agent or Read-Only.
  • Password and Confirm Password.
  • Default Agent Commission (%) — this agent's default markup, applied on top of the company markup when they build itineraries. It can be overridden per component.

What the roles mean

Roles control how much of the agency's data someone can reach across clients, inquiries, itineraries, invoices, reports and the team itself. If you're weighing up how this works for a team of your size, the growing agencies page covers it from that angle.

The roles themselves:

  • Agency Owner — full access everywhere, including removing records and managing the team. This is the account that set the agency up.
  • Senior Agent — broader reach than an agent across the agency's work.
  • Agent — works with their own records. They see and edit what belongs to them rather than the whole agency's pipeline.
  • Read-Only — can view across the agency but not change anything. Useful for an accountant or a manager who only needs visibility.

The owner's access level is fixed. Open the owner's record and Niti tells you so rather than offering a role dropdown.

Editing someone

Edit on a team member's row updates their name, email and commission, and lets you set a new password (minimum 8 characters). Leave the password fields blank to keep the current one.

Tips

  • Set the commission when you create the account. It's the default for every itinerary they build afterwards, so getting it in early saves correcting margins later.
  • Read-Only is the right answer more often than people expect. If someone only needs to look at numbers, it removes a whole category of accident.
  • Roles are why a colleague might not see a button you can see. If someone reports a missing control, check their role first.

This is Niti.
