Flights and tickets

Record flights, trains, ferries and buses — and control whether they hit your costing.

Updated

Flights & Tickets holds the scheduled services on the trip: flights, trains, ferries and buses. These are different from Transport, which is for vehicles you arrange yourself.

Add a flight

Click Add a flight. The fields are:

  • Type — flight, train, ferry or bus.
  • Carrier / Operator and Service number.
  • From airport and To airport.
  • Class.
  • Departure and Arrival.

Add booking details opens the reference and booking information if you have it.

Why isn't my flight showing in the price?

There's a checkbox: Agency purchased this ticket (adds it to costing).

Leave it unticked and the flight appears on the itinerary as information only — useful when the client booked their own international flights and you just need the times to plan around. Tick it and the ticket becomes a cost line and flows into the client's total.

Getting this wrong is the most common way an itinerary's price comes out wrong, so it's worth a second look before you move on.

Linking a flight to a transfer

Airport transfer — show this flight to: lets you attach the flight to a specific Transport leg, so the driver's voucher shows the arrival they're meeting. Leave it empty to show the flight on every transfer voucher.

Tips

  • Add the client's own inbound and outbound flights even when you didn't book them. The day-by-day plan reads much better when the first and last days show real arrival and departure times.
  • Add notes / special instructions is the place for seat requests, baggage allowances or connection warnings.
